So it turns out that environmental variables aren’t set in a streamed app! Who knew??! Well Citrix clearly…
Just how much debugging, troubleshooting and hair pulling would you need to go through to even think about checking that the damn variables had actually been set in the first place? ALOT – believe me. But hey we live and learn right?
A word of caution too, I hadn’t fully appriecated how manual registry changes are profiled. Any changes made to the registry IN the profiler are made to the registry ON the profiler, so if like me you need to change the TEMP variable make sure the location is available on the server running the profiler.
FYI – For reasons best known by Citrix, RadeRun GUI (ctx126674) has been renamed AppStreamLaunchUtility.
